Recently, the last package of molten steel being poured into the steel ingot mold marked that Erzhong Equipment had completed the task of smelting and pouring the 480-ton steel ingot for half-speed rotor of Zhangzhou nuclear project

This nuclear project is of 1300MW unit, made of 480-ton steel ingot with strict quality in terms of chemical make-up and molten steel purity. With rich experience in manufacturing huge steel ingots heavier than 480 tons, the Casting and Forging Plant in Erzhong Equipment had already delivered nearly 20 nuclear half-speed rotors, accounting for over 80% of market share, but it held fast to the idea of preparing for product feeding every time as carefully as it did for the first time. No matter from process preparation to site preparation or from making intentions of design clear to making process control, the Casting and Forging Plant in Erzhong Equipment has been continuing to work hard for delivering a better product.

The successful smelting and pouring of the 480-ton steel ingot for nuclear half-speed rotor has demonstrated again the great extreme manufacturing capability of Erzhong Equipment in large-scale high-end forging.
