CHMC Cambodia Kampong Thom Transformer Substation is in Charged Operation in Advance

Recently, 115kV Part of Kampong Thom 230kV Transformer of Cambodia East Ring Network Phase-two Project is in operation in advance, successfully completing the target set by the client. Currently, the operated part has been operating for two weeks, significantly relieving the electricity shortage of Kampong Thom area and laying a solid basis for the electricity transmission to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.


Kampong Thom 230kV Transformer is the largest transformer substation of CHMC in Cambodia. The new transformer includes one 230kV/115kV transformer and one 115kV/22kV transformer, which is used for connecting Kampong Cham, Siem Reap and Preah Vihear.

 

Under strong support of the client, with concerted efforts of the installation parties, the project department in CHMC has overcome various difficulties such as tight work schedule and construction in rainy seasons, the goal of 115kV part operating in advance proposed by the client has been achieved. The project department in CHMC has adhered to high standards and strict demands, working hard to put the security, quality and progress of the work under control, ensuring Kampong Thom 230kV transformer substation project is completed ahead of time.
